Dear River’s Edge Family,
I’m not going to write about how much things have changed in the past year or even the past decade. I think we are all well aware of that.
But I do want to let you know about a change that may not be as obvious, my role at River’s Edge Veterinary Hospital. You won’t be seeing as much of me in the exam rooms as you have become accustomed to. It’s not because I’m not here or not taking an active role in my business, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. I have decided to really start running the business instead of it running me. God has me blessed with exceptional team-members and clients. This combination has led to a rapidly growing business for which I am forever grateful.
I have the opportunity to really embrace something that I didn’t even really know I love to do, be an executive. The definition of an executive is someone who puts plans and actions into effect and to make sure that the organization runs smoothly. I have a lot of big ideas that I look forward to bringing to River’s Edge in the coming years.
Dr. Russell B. Jones and Dr. Alex De La Rosa are extremely good veterinarians and if they weren’t, I wouldn’t let them take care of you and your pets. That said, if you ever want me to weigh in on something that just isn’t going well with one of your fur-babies, just say the word. Drs. Jones and Alex will not be offended or have their feelings hurt. Of course, you know I love dentistry and I will continue to do dental exams and treatments on Thursdays.
Thank you again for being the reason that River’s Edge Veterinary Hospital has grown from an idea in 2007 to a thriving business with 15 employees in 2021.
