Have you ever come in for a refill on one of your pet’s medications? Have you gotten it and noticed it looks different than it did before? Please feel free to ask questions anytime. This is usually due to the fact that we got it from different manufacturer. A lot of our medications come from distributors. They will do their best to keep the medications in stock. Sometimes, the only way they can do that is to buy from different places. Sometimes, we have to buy from a different distributor because the original distributor is out of stock. I do my best to be consistent, but sometimes there has to be a change.
In the last year, but more so in the last several months, medications have increased in price. We wish that it didn’t happen, but as you know, a lot of things we buy everyday are more expensive than they were a year ago. We certainly don’t raise prices just because we can! We try to be as cost conscious as possible.
The third thing that can happen with inventory is running out of stock. Trust me, this frustrates me as much as I’m sure it does you! For example, we ran out of our joint supplement, Joint Care Plus. The manufacturer was out of stock. I wasn’t able to get it from any distributor or the manufacturer. I called and emailed them nearly every day. As soon as it was available, we got it back on the shelves. I know it can be hard on your dogs. They do get such help from it. Of course, that is why we sell so much of it.
I promise I do the best I can not to run out of stock of anything. Unfortunately, inventory is not an exact science. Thank you all for your patience during these times. I will continue to do my best to keep stock of everything you need!
